FAQ

Hopefully we can answer some of your festival related questions here.
If not, please email info@meadowlandsfestival.com.

Q. What time does the festival open?
A. The gates to the festival site open at TBC! More info will be posted here soon.

Q. How do I get to the event?
A. Please visit our location page.

Q. I’ve got kids. Can they come?
A. Yes, 5′s and under get in for free. All people under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian over 18. There are teen tickets for 13-17 year olds and child tickets for ages 6-12. Please visit our tickets page.

Q. Can I get cash on site?
A. No, were are sorry but card readers (behind our bars) do not work on site. There may be a cash machine for the 2012 event; this will be confirmed in the near future.

Q. Can I bring my own alcohol onto the site?
A. We have a strict policy of no alcohol to be brought into the arena. We will be less strict about the camp site, this is a party, not a police state, so we hate having to search people on their way in. But as an independent festival focused on putting on the best possible line-up we rely on the bars to help us fund the bands we book. That’s why we ask people not to bring excessive amounts of alcohol; the odd can’s fine. Please support the event not the supermarkets! Our bars are fairly priced and mix a mean mojito, as well as offering more typical festival tipples. Any alcohol found in the arena which has not been purchased from one of our many bars will be confiscated by the security and disposed of.

Q. What time are the bars open until?
A. Friday till 3am. Saturday till 4am. Sunday till 3am.

Q. I like fires. Can I build one?
A. Unfortunately not, for insurance reasons, we can’t allow any unofficial fires in the campsite or festival arena. However, the Meadowlands team are building a permanent fire structure for the forthcoming event.

Q. I’ve lost my phone/wallet/keys etc on site. What shall I do?
A. Speak to one of our friendly stewards and they will check with the office to see if it’s been handed in. Items will be kept for three months after the festival. Anything not claimed by then will be disposed of.

Q. Can I bring my dog?
A. Unfortunately not, we have a strict no dogs on site policy, we can only make an exception where people have a disability and their dog is a necessity. Contact us if this is the case.

Q. What size tent shall I bring?
A. Whatever you’re comfortable with. We welcome people of all shapes and sizes. We have plenty of camping space. Please take your tent away with you after the event, as this is becoming a concern for festivals.

Q. Can I bring my campervan?
A. Yes. Please see the tickets page for passes. There is also a separate campervan area where your friends and family without vans can camp next to your van. These people camp at their own risk. Seperate toilets will be provided by campervan ticket holders.

Q. I’m an artist, trader, journalist or just want to volunteer. Who should I speak to?
A. You should find the right email address here.
