Tons of fun for your big ones and little ones!
Workshops For The Imagination
Was set up by Alex Sutton-Vane to bring a wider range of quality art to children aged from 2 years.
It is based in Brighton and run through a unique art studio for children, offering a range of after school art clubs, pre-school art with music and creative play, themed art parties and holiday art workshops.
The philosophy behind Workshops For The Imagination is to allow creativity to thrive in an informal but structured environment.
Workshops For The Imagination will be running an art activity and
creativity tent for children aged 3 years to 11 years at Meadowlands.
This will be a drop-in activity area where children can come and make art works, models and generally be creative in their own space.
There will also be an opportunity to go on an adventure; exploring the wooded area and making some natural art works inspired by the landscape.
The Grateful Crane: The Fetch Theatre Company
Based on the traditional Japanese story of ‘The Grateful Crane’ this new Fetch Theatre project will showcase the style of Bunraku puppetry. A visual tale – told without words – the performance will celebrate puppetry and demonstrate the visual and emotional theatrical pull that
this art form has for audiences of all ages. Funny, moving and beautiful, the story will transport audiences as they interact with the puppets and journey with them to see amazing transformations take place. The show will be performed by one animator who will skilfully put in motion various spectacular puppets and props in order to create a simple but unforgettable story.
This performance is suitable for all ages.
Workshops
The director Purvin will also be providing workshops after performances. The Fetch will provide a plethora of Bunraku puppets from their store, giving participants the opportunity to explore a range of characters.
Recommended age for workshop participants 8 years to adult.
Talk back sessions
A short talk-back session will follow one of the performances.
