Blackjack
You can’t go wrong with a classic!
Blackjack is one of the most popular casino table games. The object of the game is to have your cards total 21 or as near to 21 as possible without going over. Everyone plays against the dealer (the house) who begins the game by dealing each player two cards and the house one card face-up and one card face-down. Cards are counted at their face value. Kings, Queens and Jacks count as 10. Aces count as 1 or 11. If the first two cards you’re dealt total 21, you have a blackjack.
TIP: The easiest way to add an ace is count it as a 1, and then if you want, add 10 to it.

Roulette
Perhaps the most glamorous of all casino games, Roulette was invented somewhere in France and made famous in Monte Carlo. Combining excitement with simplicity, it is a game anyone can enjoy. Players all over the world have dreamed of “breaking the bank”.
The Roulette Wheel has 36 numbers from 1 to 36, plus a “0″. The numbers are alternately coloured red and black, with the “0″ green.
Play begins when the players have placed their bets by putting their chips on the numbered layout.
The dealer then spins the small, white ball in the opposite direction of the spinning wheel. Bets may be placed until the ball is about ready to leave the track and the dealer signals “no more bets”. The ball falls into a slot, the dealer calls out the winning number and bets are paid accordingly.

Did you know:
The longest colour win recorded in American casino history occurred in 1943 when the colour red won 32 consecutive times. The odds against this happening are 22,254,817,519 to 1.

TIP: Every chance event is absolutely independent of all preceding or following events. In other words: the wheel does not think, the wheel does not remember!

Poker
Enter the ‘Apokerlypse Now’ poker room if you dare!

A game of strategy, deception, mathematics and psychology, Poker contains a greater skill element than any other card game, including Bridge, Pinochle and Gin Rummy. It’s no wonder that Poker is the most popular card game in the world, both in the amount of money wagered and number of players.

Ranking of Hands: At the showdown, a poker hand consists of the best five cards ranked from highest to lowest (as well as most rare to likeliest), according to the following list.
1. Straight Flush – five cards of same suit in sequence.
An Ace-high straight flush is called a “Royal Flush”.
2. Four of a Kind – four cards of the same rank.
3. Full House – three cards of same rank and two cards of same rank.
4. Flush – five cards of same suit.
5. Straight – five cards in sequence.
6. Three of a Kind – three cards of the same rank.
7. Two Pair – two cards of same rank and two other cards of same rank.
8. One Pair – two cards of same rank.
9. High Card – the highest ranking card in the hand.

In Poker, all suits are of equal value. If two or more hands are tied in a category, the tie is broken by the rank of the unmatched cards in the five-card hand.

Did you know: The exact number of possible five-card poker hands in a 52-card deck is 2,598,960!
